Hey, everyone! This week has been extremely busy and chaotic for me! All summer long I’ve been saying that my feet are no longer on the groud. That has now become an understatement! As of Wednesday, I am officially settled in to my dorm room and anticipating class beginning on Monday! I know that a while back I said that I would put all new post up on Wednesdays, I can already tell that won’t work. I will do my best to get new posts out whenever I can. Transitions are happening all around me. In order to get where I am now, I had to step beyond my comfort zones! I’ve learned that as long as I am operating in my comfort zones, I will always be a hindrance to myself! #PowerJam2015 with Lisa Nichols has been going on all week and I heard her say, “Your breakthrough lives in your inconvenience.” That was a moment that I had to stop, write it down, and post it in a Facebook status! WOW! In order to receive my breakthrough I have to get a little uncomfortable. To be successful and exceptional I have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. You can’t allow these comfort zones to keep holding you back. I was on Periscope the other day saying that I was tired of missing out on opportunities due to not wanting to be beyond my comfort zone. I had to make a decision that I was going to move toward my success and live up to my full potential instead of operating in fear.
The thing about operating beyond comfort zones is that you must learn to trust that God will direct your path. As long as we are in our comfort zones, we know where we are going and all that’s going on. In order to step beyond those comfort zones we must step out on faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” There are set limitations when you are walking by sight, you can only go so far because you aren’t willing to relinquish control and have faith in God. I don’t know about you, but I refuse to put myself in a box! I refuse to limit God and what he can do through me. It won’t be easy, but I am challenging you to come straight out of that comfort zone. I can tell you from my own personal experience that my only regret with stepping out of my comfort zone is not doing it earlier! I dare you to step out of that comfort zone, walk by faith, and see just what God has in store for you! Stay Golden!
