Life consists of many different aspects and while each may be different from the other, there is always one thing they have in common. In each part of our lives, we are to be ever growing. As we go through life, we continue to evolve. The results of our lives are based on which areas we’ve decided to grow in. As life goes on, it is important to not ever feel that we have reached a point of complete maturity. This post I saw floating around is so perfect for this... “I’m not grown, I’m GROWING”.
The concept of growth is mentioned quite a bit in the bible. As we grow in Christ, the things of Christ continue to grow and manifest in our lives. Much like Matthew 6:33, as we seek God, everything else is added to us. With spiritual maturity comes the gifts of God in bigger magnitudes. We are able to experience God and all that comes with Him on bigger scales. There are increases in faith, favor, grace, understanding, etc.
“Let the gift of undeserved grace and the understanding that come from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ help you keep on growing. Praise Jesus now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 (CEV)
Much like most of the lessons we learn in the bible, they are compatible with our natural lives. So as we go through life, keep an open mind to growth. The goal is to not be the same person that you were even a few weeks ago. Continue to increase in love, knowledge, and wisdom. For once a plucked flower has reached maturity and blossomed all it can, from there it begins to die. Don’t be the flower! In season, out of season, day, night, good days, bad days, everything seen, heard, and experienced can be used to help as grow as individuals. Whatever you have to do, don’t stop growing! Take that trip, read the books, explore, experiment (safely…LOL), but by all means, and by ANY MEANS, GROW! Allow your growth to produce your GLOW! Shine bright!!
